Description
The statue is of Saint Rita and is 20 cm tall. It is made of plastercast and is very pretty. It is boxed. Saint Rita is depicted with partial stigmata and is wearing a black Augustinian habit instead of the brown robe and white veil of Monastery of Saint Mary Magdalene from the 13th century. She is venerated in the Roman Catholic Church and the Aglipayan Church. She was beatified in 1626 by Pope Urban VIII and canonized in 1900 by Pope Leo XIII. Her feast is May 22.
